Valley Stream sits at the western edge of Nassau County, and KLS Co. drives over from our Hewlett base at 1800 Rockaway Ave to handle appliance repairs across the village. Much of Valley Stream was built during the postwar expansion, so many homes near Hendrickson Avenue and the blocks running toward Sunrise Highway still have original or early-replacement laundry rooms tucked into basements, older kitchens sized for smaller ranges, and tight side yards where a washer or dryer has to be wheeled through a narrow passage.
When a dryer stops heating or a refrigerator starts running warm, our technicians plan for those access limits before the truck pulls up. We ask about stairs, basement entrances and whether a garage door or side gate will clear a standard appliance. That single question often saves a return trip, and it keeps the repair from becoming a scramble when a family is already short on time.
Our service runs 24/7, so a Saturday night failure in Valley Stream does not have to wait until Monday. We work on the major brands homeowners in this part of Nassau actually own and give you an upfront quote before any parts are ordered.

Appliance Repair Services in Valley Stream, NY — Local Notes
- •Nassau County's humid subtropical summers push dryers and kitchen exhaust fans harder than most people expect. Many Valley Stream homes vent dryers through long flexible ducts into shared side walls, so lint buildup and restricted airflow are common causes of overheating and long drying times that we check first.
- •Older basements in the village often have floor drains and laundry standpipes sized for the original install. When a washer drains slowly or overflows during a nor'easter-driven power dip, we look at the standpipe height, hose kinks and drain trap before blaming the pump.
- •Cold winters bring frozen supply lines to garages and utility rooms in detached or attached structures common throughout the village. Ice-maker lines and water-inlet valves on refrigerators in these spaces fail more often in January and February, and we inspect the routing before replacing parts.
- •Storm-related power fluctuations along the Sunrise Highway corridor can damage control boards on newer ranges and dishwashers. We test for surge damage on the board itself, since replacing a whole appliance is rarely needed when the fault is a single component.
